A la fin du XVIème siècle, l’Europe a connu des troubles d’ordre religieux,
car un fanatisme anime les calvinistes qui luttent contre les autres congrégations, les taxant d’hérétiques. Les pasteurs s’étant immiscés dans le politique ont accru leur pouvoir. C’est ainsi que la foi s’est éclipsée derrière l’ambition, l’avidité et l’orgueil. Cependant, ces pratiques se heurtent au refus catégorique des hommes épris de liberté et de paix comme Spinoza. Exclu de la synagogue, il engage un combat sans merci contre la théocratie pour la reforme de la religion. Dans un ordre procédural très contigu, il réfléchit sur les causes de ces conflits et envisage la liberté de foi, de pensée et d’expression comme solution. Ce qui ne fut pas sans conséquence pour lui et pour l’humanité aujourd’hui ! Car la liberté de foi conduit l’homme tantôt à l’intégrisme, tantôt à un libertinage au point d’être moins que l’homme normal. En son nom, des familles sont quotidiennement endeuillées.

Abstract
At the end of the sixteenth century, Europe experienced disorders religious
order as religious fanaticism anime Calvinists who fight against other congregations, labeling them as heretics. Pastors being interfered in politics increased their power. Thus faith is eclipsed behind ambition, greed and pride. However, these practices are faced with the refusal of men who love freedom and peace, as Spinoza. Out of the synagogue, he engages in combat against theocracy without thank you for the reform of religion. In a very contiguous procedural, he reflects on the causes of these conflicts and to consider freedom of belief, thought and expression as a solution. This was not without consequences for him and for humanity today! Freedom of faith leads man sometimes fundamentalism, sometimes a libertine as to be less than the normal man. In his name, bereaved families are daily.
